Earn CE Credits

To help fulfill your continuing education (CE) requirements, the IMPACT 2013 program will be submitted to the following organizations:

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board of Standards for CE credit
  • National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit
  • Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) for Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) credit.
CE Credit for CFP Designation

To receive credit, please provide your CFP Board ID number (issued with the initial certification) when you register. If you do not know this number, please contact the CFP Board at 800-487-1497.

As a CFP-Board registered CE sponsor, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. will submit a list of event attendees electronically to the CFP Board within 60 days after the event has been completed. You will receive an email confirmation from the CFP Board when your credit has been processed. You can also check the status of your CE hours on the CFP Web site.

CPE Credit for Certified Professional Accountant Designation

Schwab Advisor Services™ is registered with NASBA as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority over the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to:

A CPE certification form for credit submission will be provided at the conclusion of each CPE- approved session. Attendees will be responsible for completing the CPE certification form (one per session) and submitting it to the appropriate membership association(s) or state board(s). Please note that it is also the attendee's responsibility to make a copy of each submission and keep it on file.

CE Credit for CIMA Designation

Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., will submit all IMPACT education sessions for CIMA credit eligibility. Each CIMA licensee is responsible for submitting CE documentation for non-IMCA sponsored events. Documentation must be mailed or faxed to the address below. It is the responsibility of the CIMA licensee to keep a copy of all items submitted. CE forms for CIMA credit will be available at the end of each session at the back of the room. Attendees can also pick up a form at the IMPACT information desk.

If you hold the CIMA®, CIMC® or CPWA® certification, licensees may report this pre-accepted CE program online, after you have completed it, by logging into your My IMCA account. Detailed reporting instructions can also be found on the IMCA website.
