About the audience
IMPACT is an annual conference for independent registered investment advisor (RIA) and independent recordkeeper clients of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. The premier benchmark event for the RIA industry, IMPACT offers world-class keynote speakers, education sessions, integrated third-party relationships, and unique experiences.
Registered investment advisors attend this conference to learn new concepts and techniques, to help manage and grow their businesses by attending a variety of education sessions, and to network with peers. Session topics include practice management strategies, compliance and regulatory issues, investment strategies, financial-planning tools, and technology solutions.
Attending advisory firms vary in size from sole advisor practitioners to RIA firms of 25 to 35 employees. Assets under management range from less than $25 million to more than $5 billion per firm.
Attending RIAs report that they generally serve affluent clients with $500,000 to $5 million in investable assets.

Yes. A full-conference or day-pass registration allows exhibitors to attend education sessions, meals, and events. Advisors and independent recordkeepers are given priority seating in the education sessions.
Please refer to the Exhibitor packages section to view the number of registrations your package allows. Schwab reserves the right to limit the number of an exhibiting company’s attendees.
A full-conference registration for sponsors and exhibitors is $1,695 if they register prior to November 18. Sponsors and exhibitors are not eligible for the advisor and retirement plan provider early-bird registration rate.
Approved companies will receive instructions on how to register their attendees once registration goes live in early August. Attendees must be affiliated with an approved sponsoring or exhibiting company to attend.
We’re glad you know someone who’s interested in our event! However, IMPACT is for invited participants only, and we are not able to accommodate guests. We want to be sure our focus remains on leading our industry and empowering advisors to better serve their clients. As IMPACT and its attendance grow, we’re committed to giving advisors the best and most valuable experience possible.
All private events held during IMPACT must end 15 minutes prior to—or commence no earlier than 15 minutes after—the scheduled IMPACT activity. No function may be held on the premises of The Moscone Center at any time during the IMPACT conference without Schwab’s approval.
The use of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., or any of its affiliates in marketing collateral is prohibited. Please review the Marketing Guidelines provided via the Sponsor & Exhibitor Resource Center. Any reference to IMPACT must be approved by IMPACT prior to production and mailing. Forward your marketing piece or email to IMPACTexhibitors@schwab.com. Please allow five to eight business days for approval.
Approved exhibitors may access the FreemanOnline® full exhibitor kit in mid-September via the Sponsor & Exhibitor Resource Center.
Tuesday, November 19: 3:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, November 20: 7:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
Thursday, November 21: 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Booths must be “show ready” by 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19. If your booth is not set up by that time, the contracted show decorator will set it up and additional expenses will be incurred by your company. Booths may not be set up on Wednesday, November 20.
Booth numbers will be assigned by mid-September and will be available for viewing via the Sponsor & Exhibitor Resource Center.
The registered pre-attendee list will be made available in mid-October via the Sponsor & Exhibitor Resource Center.
If your company is approved to exhibit at IMPACT, the primary administrator who registered your company will receive a confirmation email with a link to the invoice.
