Boston knows good food. We’re rounding up some local favorites for you to savor as you make your way through The Exchange!

Mei Mei Dumplings
These dumplings are good. Not just good-tasting, but good for the community. Chef Irene Li cofounded Mei Mei Dumplings with her siblings in 2012 as a food truck. Since then, their family business has grown to include a dumpling factory, cafe, and classroom. Over 70% of their ingredients come from small independent farms in the Northeast, ensuring all their flavors, both traditional and unconventional, are made by New England, for New England.

Stillwater
At Stillwater in downtown Boston, the Food Network Chopped Gold Medal Games champion, Chef Sarah Wade, takes comfort food and gives it a fresh perspective. Expect dishes surrounding seasonal and hyper local ingredients while also having comfort staples like smoked pork mac and cheese, all rooted in the belief that familiar favorites can still surprise you. Hailing from Stillwater, Oklahoma, Chef Sarah made her mark in the Boston scene, creating the kind of neighborhood restaurant she loves to visit herself: welcoming, lively, and full of food that feels both familiar and new. Think comfort food upgraded.

The Salty Pig
The Salty Pig puts an Italian-inspired spin on the neighborhood hangout. Known for pizzas, fresh pasta, artisan cheeses, and house-made charcuterie boards, this Back Bay spot is all about building a spread worth sharing. Local touches show up throughout the menu, from meats made in-house to cheeses and accompaniments sourced across New England. It’s a little salty, plenty satisfying, and made for digging in together.

Island Creek Oysters
Island Creek Oysters brings a taste of Duxbury Bay straight to Boston. The team grows their own oysters in Massachusetts and harvests them daily, supplying restaurants across the country while staying firmly rooted in New England. At the Seaport Raw Bar, oysters take center stage alongside caviar and tinned fish in a laid-back, open-air setting. With a true farm-to-table story, it’s Boston seafood with a direct line to the source.
